Capturing and using the essence of natural light, Ed Sizler seeks to document all forms of beauty; from not only the flora and fauna that surrounds us, but to special events, festivals, sports and candid moments as well.  Sizler’s work extols the unique settings we can find just steps off the beaten path.  His portfolio of landscape and wildlife photography ranges throughout Florida with an emphasis on Florida’s state parks, zoos and waterways; rivers, lakes, and springs, and all the wildlife that inhabit them.

Though nature photography was his first love, Sizler has proven that he is well versed and quite proficient in all types of photography; sports, corporate functions, special events, business parties, bar mitzvahs and also weddings; making him a complete full service photographer.

Sizler’s photography has appeared in numerous magazines and brochures including New York SportScene Magazine, American Libraries and America Library Journal, as well as many local newspapers.  One of his proudest moments came when working in conjunction with Louisiana State University, as numerous photographs were used in the publication “Web of Life”, which promoted awareness of the unique environmental importance of the Caddo Lake ecosystem, helping to save the area from future development.  The original printing of this document is now housed in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.

Following a 25-year career as a computer operator for Broward County Library System in Fort Lauderdale, (also functioning as un-official library staff photographer), Sizler left Fort Lauderdale to move to the Orlando area to marry his high school sweetheart.  However for the last sixteen years, Sizler returns each April to participate as the photographer for the annual Broward County Library’s Children’s Reading Festival.  His reason, “Some projects are just fun!!”
